This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Started the day off with an ATV ride right from the Airbnb we were staying at. Made it to a beautiful secluded Beach (Playa moron) and spent some time there in the water and enjoying some fresh fruit and drinks. Next stop was a horseback ride up the mountain and through some rivers to a pavilion with a stunning view of El Limon waterfall and a couple of beers. Then we hiked down the mountain to the waterfall, spent some time swimming in the beautiful waters before hiking back up to the pavilion and riding the horses back down. From there a nice ATV ride to a small restaurant for some delicious lunch and then finally back to our Airbnb. It was worth every penny and such a memorable experience. Can't recommend it enough.

It was a terrific excursion. However, it was a full day experience and I would recommend staying at a local hotel to see more scenery.

Frequently asked questions

What is Things To Do Samaná?

Things To Do Samaná is a destination-experiences marketplace for tours, day trips and activities. Browse real inventory with live availability, and complete your booking securely on Viator, the world's largest experiences platform.

Can I cancel for free?

Most experiences offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity. The exact policy is shown on each tour page before you book.

How do I pay?

You pay securely on viator.com at checkout. We redirect you to the exact tour with your date pre-selected, and prices are shown in USD per adult.

When is the best time to visit Samaná?

Samaná shines year-round. December to April brings the driest weather; summer offers warmer seas and fewer crowds. Popular tours sell out fastest in high season, so book a few days ahead.

Do tours pick me up at my hotel?

Most day trips include hotel pickup in the main Samaná resort areas. The tour page says exactly which hotels are covered and roughly what time the van comes. Check it before you book if you are staying further out.

What language are the guides?

English and Spanish on every departure. Some operators also run French, German or Portuguese groups; when they do, it is listed on the tour page.

How far ahead should I book?

Same-day is often possible, but the boats and the small-group tours fill first. Two or three days ahead is enough outside high season; a week in December and at Easter.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the operator cancels (rough seas, storms) you get a full refund automatically, no argument. If you cancel yourself, the normal free-cancellation window applies.

Are the prices per person?

Yes, and in USD per adult unless the tour says otherwise. Children, infants and private-group rates appear once you pick a date and party size.
